Made from the best single tonne of Shiraz off Block 2 at Alagna, our home vineyard overlooking McLaren Vale.
Crushed into two-tonne open fermenters and hand plunged morning and night. Once dry, basket pressed and put to new and seasoned French oak barriques for 26 months, then racked, never fined or filtered.
Tasting notes
Dark cherry, blackberry and plum, with vanilla sweetness and savoury spice underneath. Full bodied, with a velvet texture and a finish that stays.
Food match
Braised veal, or slow-roasted meats with winter vegetables.
Cellaring
Will keep developing over the next 10 to 20 years with careful cellaring.
